Covid-19: New rules for .za websites

COVID-19 South African coronavirus news and information

According to government regulations published yesterday, all websites that end in “.za” are required to link to the health department’s Covid-19 portal.

Clause 5.1.4 of the regulations contained in a government gazette, which have been issued in terms of the Disaster Management Act, state:

“All Internet sites operating within the .zaDNA top-level domain must have a landing page with a visible link to www.sacoronavirus.co.za.”

The new requirements for South African ISPs and website owners form part of the government’s plan to fight the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus.

Select Web urges all its clients to adhere to these regulations.
